Bring the bar down slightly from the hang position, violently open the hips on the way up, big shrug with arms locked out, bring the bar up bending the elbows, keep the bar along the chest, pull yourself underneath the bar, catch the bar in the front squat position, feet just outside the shoulders, get the hips below the knees caps, drive out through the heels and stand the bar up, opening the hips all the way at the top.
Feeling better about the technique. Confident I'll be able to go up next time.
Need to keep the weight closer to my body on the way up from the hang position. Concur with gunny Brinker on the form issue.
135-155-185-205-215-225-235 (Fail)
Personal Body Weight: 185lbs
I set a PR for myself today. Not bad after being on travel all week.
I have a mental block problem with cleans. I was doing really well working up, then I failed at 165 and couldn't get another clean to save my soul. Still trying to hash out this techinque.
Stayed with 155 because my form got disgusting. I started catching the bar in the middle of the drop and not at the bottom. My landing position was way too wide and decided to start trying to perfect the form.
