1:17 SLOWER than last time.
For the Handstand Push-Ups used the bands and some assistance for the 2nd and 3rd rounds.
Last few reps of the 3rd round, used some assistance on the rings for stabilization.
Throughout the WOD I did my best to maintain proper form in order to get full range of motion (FROM). If form/FROM were ever in question I did penalty reps!
I felt like I was still tight in the arms from Murph on Monday. Shoulders were strong so the handstand pushups were the easy part for a change, but my tricepts were shot after the first set of dips.
I really need to work on my kipping for my dips. I should have been able to do more before getting worn out as bad as I did. I used bands to help with my last 4 dips
J-man will tell you my form on the HSPUs (no bands) sucked. He's right, I muscled thru it, I need to work on not arching my back.
First time was 10:20 and i was absolutely disgusted with my performance. What sucked was i had to re-teach myself how to do a thruster fast. i.e. gripping the bar the entire time to speed things up.
The second time i got 7:40 and this time around i had the grip down. However the pull-ups this time around were much tougher. I'm guessing the earlier 45 pull-ups didn't help....heh. I'm much much happier with second performance. That 7:40 time is a 4 min improvement from my previous personal best.
Blasted through my first 21 HSPU jumped on the ring dips and could barely do 1. Did a few ring dips unassisted then went to the bands and had someone stabalize the rings. Had a great amount of assissitance on the HSPU for the last two sets. Need to remember to keep my head up during my push ups so I can get all the way down and not cheat myself. Thanks for all the motivation Maj Ward and the 1630 group.
Not sore today though; surprisingly.

Hard-ass workout is what I got to say about this. I had never done hand-stand push ups before so getting the form correct was a big challenge. Tried to follow what the instructors were saying about keeping the head straight all the way through and looking at the box. My arms were so dead from doing the Murph on Monday that I could hardly even do regular push-ups. Nigel and Mario assisted tremendously in the handstand push ups. Did the last two sets of regular push-ups on the bench. The last set of dips on the regular dip bar. Got assistance from the bands in all of the ring dips. First set from purple band and the other two sets with the green band.\
I have jammed my left big toe from landing so hard when doing handstand push ups. Hopefully it's nothing to bad and will heal soon.
