Set a PR today of 385 lbs.
Not sure what happened after set 5, but I couldn't lift more than 135. Not even one inch off the ground.
Through many of my sets, the bar felt particularly heavy on one side of the bar, I kept loosing my grip in one hand. Come to find out that the bar head that holds the weight is broken, so when I was lifting the weight the head was sliding off the end of the bar. This shot all of my confidence.
No improvement. 315 is my max.
I felt pretty good at 180. I felt like I let myself down on this one though because I started to low. Could have had better numbers and a better workout!
My legs are definitely my weak point. Should have started a little higher so I could find my max. Ill shoot for 360-370 on Monday.
85-105-115-145-165-175-185
185 might be my max but will try for higher weight next time.
First time dead lifting ever....On my last lift I broke form on the downward motion and back was a little sore. Need to concentrate on form going down. 40lb jump in middle was probably too much for first day. Not sure where max is but need to start with higher weights next time so I can make smaller 10lb adjustments.
I was tired, did the WOD at 1830 after work. Focused very hard on correct form and not giving up the back. 335# lift I arched a little going up and down. Decided to drop weight and correct my form after that.
First time deadlift. Started out low to get the form correct. i should have been able to get 275, even had it lifted up. But bar slid off the hand. Should have gradually went up to 275 and not shot up from 245. Will keep this in mind when maxing out on a new exercise.
