Be sure and wish Nigel Keane and GySgt Alex Brinker well as they depart today (Friday) for their Level I Certification training in Virginia Beach. When they return, they will help carry the load initially as assistant coaches and then take over sessions on their own. Majors Mac Ward, Dave Joseforsky, Vic Frausto, and SSgt Eldredge will be assistant coaches during the certification as well. All participants stay safe, we need you back!
I set a new PR of 330 lbs, 10 lbs better than my back squat one rep max on Crossfit Total last week. I got wiped out at the end, long week of workouts on the legs.
Beat my CF total by 30 lbs. But then I got wipped. I need to strech my back more as hand and bar placement is sometimes diffcult for me.
See you folks on monday
I have never maxed out on squats before (ok, I admit, I have never really done squats before), so I spent a few sets working on form and convincing myself that I could do the weight. I look forward to next time.
PR at 285, up 10 lbs than my last CFT. Need to hone my form on my squats. Thanks to Maj J and Steve pointing out some faults that I wasn't correcting on my own during the Cindy WOD. I learned that criticism, no matter how much we dont want to hear it, is one of the best tools you can use to self perfection.
Also need to get mentally stoked before going heavier. I will hit 300 next squat day.

Need to maintain proper form.
